Who We Are

We have over 35 years of experience in the roofing industry. We specialize in re-roofs and repairs. We have installed many different projects including single-family homes, apartments, and commercial and industrial properties. Roof removals, plywood installation, general carpentry, composition shingles, clay and concrete tile, simulated shake products, and modified bitumen (torch down) are some of the products and services we offer.
 
Christensen Roofing is a preferred contractor for many roofing materials, which means we install everything per manufacturer's specifications, and we have an excellent relationship with all of the suppliers. We use certified materials that come with a warranty. Some of these are Eagle Tile, MonierLifeTile, MCA, and US Tile clay roofing tiles. We also use GAF-Elk, and Owens Corning dimensional roofing shingles. Flat roofs require attention to detail, and U.S. Intec or Dibiten roofing materials have great warrantees.

Roof Replacement
At Christensen Roofing, we start every project by meeting with you at your home to measure your roof, and look at pictures or brochures to help determine what would be best for you. After we agree what will be best for you, we'll provide you with a detailed written proposal — a free estimate. Then we will give you a reference list of jobs we have completed in the area.
 
If you are looking to re-roof your tile roof, you may have been told that your tile roof will last a lifetime, but the felt (paper) underpayments will typically need to be replaced after 10 to 15 years. That's because the builders only require roofers to install a single layer of felt paper. When we reroof your house, we use two layers of 40-pound paper to provide extra protection from the elements.

Our installation system, from teardown to completion, has been developed over years of working with homeowners like you. Our goal is to complete your project in a timely manner, with as little disruption to your routine as possible and with minimal mess. Our crews are well known for being courteous and polite, and you'll have my phone number if you have questions when I may not be around.

All of our roofing systems are installed per manufacturer specifications. All systems are backed by a 5 or 10-year written installation and workmanship warranty, in addition to the 10 to 50-year warranty that may come with your product.

Older tile roofs can last longer if they are taken care of. For example, many roofs still have mortar around all of their pipes and roof jacks. When the mortar wears out, the water literally goes through the mortar and onto the roof, sometimes causing major damage to the roof and to the house. Replacing the mortar with aluminum or galvanized flashings will keep 100% of the water out, saving you thousands of dollars and make your roof last years longer.
